Hands-On Workshops

Conducting hands-on workshops allows users to practice using the CMS in a controlled environment. This interactive approach can enhance learning and retention.

“Investing in training is investing in success.”

In briefDemerit points are more than a number: they affect your insurance, your licence and your record for 2 years. Here is what they actually change and how to avoid accumulating them.

What points actually change

Each recorded offence raises your SAAQ insurance contribution and brings you closer to the revocation threshold. Reaching it (4, 8, 12 or 15 points depending on your licence) means losing your licence for 3 to 12 months.

How to avoid accumulating them

Points are recorded as soon as you are found guilty — and paying a fine without contesting is exactly that. Contesting a ticket before paying is often the only way to avoid having points recorded.

Frequently asked questions

How long do points stay on record?
2 years from the finding of guilt. See our detailed page on demerit points in Quebec.
